The moment i walked out from Penang airport in 2013 Aug, the weather was unbearable and i could say it was about 34 degrees Celcius. Penang was quite a hectic island but with friendly Malay driver, time passed by quickly. With several conversations, I asked what are other famous foods in a pearl island besides laksa and char koay teow, he replied nutmeg. It convinced me after I did some research before my departure from Indonesia. The next day, I went to Island Plaza after returning from a famous Gurney Plaza with lots of changes since 2010. When I walked around Tanjung Tokong, there is a colourful and attraction shop which catches my eyes to walk in. Gosh, it is a nutmeg shop which I dare to say its products served are fantastic, outstanding and most importantly delicious and healthy. They served lots of healthy nutmeg products, from main course to dessert. Everything is from nutmeg. I love nutmeg yogurt and nutmeg cookies the most. It was my FIRST time tasting nutmeg yogurt and nutmeg cookies in my life which I dare to say you will not be able to get those in market.Nevertheless you would feel at home and no sound pollution across the street. I definitely would come again in my next visit to try other nutmeg products which I believe this is the ONLY shop in Malaysia selling outstanding nutmeg products.
